This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My diverse readers are so enthusiastic about learning. They enjoy reading all types of books.

Many of my students are struggling readers.

They have difficulty staying on task. They need easy access to books that they'll enjoy reading daily.

I would like to provide them with engaging stories that they will love to read every day!

My Project

They have difficulty staying on task because of their lack of reading skills. But mostly because of the lack of engaging books they require.

The majority of my students are from low-income families.

I want them to have as many resources as possible to help them grow as readers.

Every day my students have the opportunity to read independently. They require books that are engaging and specific to their levels. These books will help engage my struggling readers and help them learn new vocabulary and important sight words.

These emergent reading books are a fundamental part of our balanced literacy program and will support my students in meeting their reading goals.

We will need these books to practice all the reading strategies that we will learn daily. They will support our diminishing leveled library that needs to be replenished with new and exciting books. So please help my students on their journey to becoming great readers.
