Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One of the biggest goals for our special needs students, is functional and appropriate communication. Many of these students tend to use aggression or display disruptive behaviors, while trying to communicate something.

As a Speech Pathologist, I have learned that positive engagement during therapy is the key to successful communication growth.

When my students are engaged, their eyes sparkle and they slowly unlock the secrets for communication.

With the generous donations of work books, tasks, diverse books that represent them, and educational games, the students will enjoy their sessions while learning to communicate!

Thank you all for helping some of our get the opportunity to learn appropriate communication to be used throughout their lives.
