Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, it takes exposure or motivation. The students in my class strive for excellence. They all care about one another and continually try to improve.

My classes consist of amazing students.

The large majority of my students are limited English speaking, English Language Learners, receive resource services, or are dyslexic. About 70% of my students are socioeconomically disadvantaged so getting supplies for school is not easy.

They all have win-win attitudes and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community. Working with at-risk students requires being extra prepared. I try very hard to have books of all varieties to help engage our readers with content they'll enjoy, to help them build stamina and become lifetime readers.

Your contribution to this project will profoundly impact our students' learning experience. It will help us build a diverse classroom library filled with high-interest graphic novels that can bridge the gap and make reading more appealing. Additionally, we have asked for consumables such as printer ink, pens/pencil lead for the teacher, and snacks, which serve as incentives to read or rewards for participation.
