My students have diverse needs, interests, and abilities. Providing them with accessible and hands-on materials mean increased engagement and learning. My students are all diagnosed with moderate to severe disabilities, and have a high staff to student ratio to provide them with the support throughout the school day.
As a first year teacher, it is my goal to be the best advocate that I can for my students by providing them with the best possible learning environment.
The drying rack and wire cube organizers will allow my students to be independent in their morning routines and placing their artwork in the drying rack to dry. The beanbag, bookshelf, and weighted dinosaur will make the book nook corner more accessible and inclusive of all of my students' needs. The transparent letters, puzzles, bingo daubers, and whiteboards are all hands-on learning materials for my students to engage with instruction. The push pins, Stikki Clips, and locks all allow for my classroom to be safe and show off student work and other decor.
