My Students

My students are an inquisitive bunch who are excited to be learning back in the traditional classroom after the pandemic. Due to distance learning, there is a sizeable number of my students who missed content vital to being successful in the 3rd grade classroom. Many are on the cusp of becoming independent readers and problem solvers, but need instruction and hands-on learning opportunities specific to their own individual needs.

My Project

I plan to use these materials a variety of ways within my classroom. The lower leveled readers will support my readers who are below grade level and have a minimum selection on books within the classroom library. Having these books will allow them to practice phonics and reading fluency while building confidence in their ability.

Learning needs to be fun AND functional!

The games will be used in both small group learning settings and "Fun Friday" to continue practicing skills taught in class so they become concrete in their leaning.
