Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello everyone, as we continue to learn how to teach remotely during this Global pandemic, it has become evident that engagement is the biggest issue. My 13 students are enrolled in a 3/4/5 self-contained special education bridge class. They have are all diagnosed with different disabilities including ADD, Visually impairment , Autism and various learning disabilities (reading/math).

Despite their disabilities and these turbulent times, my students show up everyday and try their best, to learn social skills, reading, writing and math.

They all conjure in our digital classroom and are part of the school community and work on overcoming their disabilities to continue learning like they did before COVID.

My Project

As my students are in a self contained special education class they are in dire need of content that can meet their unique learning needs. Flocabulary videos are great for special education students as they have visuals and present content with the use of music.

My students who are struggling with focus and engagement will benefit from the Flocabulary modalities of music, visuals and repetition.

And with many different educational content areas including, ELA, Math, Social Studies and social and emotional learning, Flocabulary can be used to strengthen my lessons.
