Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Special Education Teacher in a high needs, low income, Title 1 school. Our students are primarily English Language Learners.

Our school is 70% ELL students and 100% of our students qualify for free breakfast and Lunch.

We started the year 100% in person learning. This project will benefit our Special Education students.

My Project

Our students are back to school again, 100% in person. After more than a year of being confined, we can all agree that our students need social interactions and tools for learning to build back their confidence and ease up anxiety.

The learning tools that I requested will be able to help build the gap for my special education students after being away from school due to (COVID) pandemic.

These tools will help my students who struggles with phonics knowledge, mathematical analyses, and writing. These resources will promote various Informational Text standards to be engaged with learning in classroom setting again. Additionally, these will foster learning and creativity among my special education students.
