My Students

Can you imagine being an ESL or Special Education student and not having the resources and supplies you need to be successful and engaged. Can you imagine not having the ability to support all the needs in your class? My sixth grade ESL and Special Education students need the supplies necessary to teach students with diverse needs.

I am a teacher in a public school that is located in an urban district.

I am a ESL/Special education teacher who will be working with students with English Language Learners as well as students who need educational support within an inclusion and general education classroom.

I will be traveling from classroom to classroom and need the supplies necessary to make sure that all my students have the resources they need! My inclusion classroom embraces students who not only have varying levels of English to students with all levels of special education services. This project will make it possible for me to support all of my students.

My Project

My students need access to a variety of materials within a classroom.

They need technology.

Headphones will make it easier for students to listen to text be read aloud to them. With a class set, time won't be lost searching for a class set!

They need the use of white boards, but without erasers and markers, they are unable to access what they need.

The chair bands will be a great tool for helping my students attend to what is going on in the classroom. The bands will offer them an outlet to figit without distracting others and themselves.

These materials will help my students be better engaged because they will have the resources they need.
