My Project

The specific items I’m requesting will make a tremendous difference in motivating and engaging my seventh-grade ELA students as they tackle nonfiction reading. I plan to use popular incentives like Bluetooth speakers, sensory fidget toys, Takis, and glitter gel pens to create excitement and encourage participation. By rewarding students for reaching reading milestones and completing creative projects, these items will help maintain focus and engagement, allowing students to experience the joys of learning through nonfiction.

My primary goal for this project is to help students develop strong comprehension skills in nonfiction and become more confident in presenting information.

Through this challenge, students will read nonfiction books, create small projects that reflect their learning, and share their insights with classmates. This process will not only improve literacy skills but also build confidence, creativity, and public speaking abilities. By providing incentives, I hope to inspire students to take on new challenges, setting them up for future academic success.

What makes my students special is their willingness to learn new skills as readers and set goals for their continued growth. They bring unique perspectives and talents to our classroom activities. They are able to leverage their strengths to meet new challenges. By implementing this challenge, I hope to nurture their excitement for reading and create lifelong readers who learn from what they read!
