Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Energized minds work better! Most of the supplies requested are snacks for our kiddos. Specifically, our after-school kids who stay longer. By the time we work with them, they're hungry and not giving it their all. The afterschool snacks the school provides doesn't have variety or isn't filling enough. We want to switch it up for them. They get so happy over a single cookie or a couple of chips. I can guarantee that with a variety of snacks they'll be able to focus better and will overall have a positive can do attitude.

These kids work hard throughout the day and a little energy boost and supplies are what they deserve.

The other supplies requested are whiteboards and markers that can be only theirs to use. Usually, they borrow the supplies they can find from the classroom's desks. They use the whiteboards to practice their math and sight words. It helps to have a tool that can erase easily. We also use it when we they have trouble with their homework and they need extra examples.
