My Project
For some students, after school is such a blessing. It provides a safe place where students know they are valued to stay. For others, it can make the school day feel even longer, regardless of how passionate they are to be on stage rehearsing and performing, and reminds them of resources they may not have. As we get closer to our performances, rehearsals are getting longer, and students are starting to crash. While we have encouraged students to bring snacks, there are several factors that play into our students being hungry. Some students don't have the means to buy them, bring them, or store them. Someone always forgets it on their counter, and someone was so hungry that they ate it at 10 am.
These snacks will help provide the energy needed to keep singing and dancing while feeling loved and appreciated.
By having snacks ready to go in the classroom for students to grab it will not only keep them energized but remind them that we value them AND their health and well-being. It reminds them that someone is looking out for them, not just looking for the right note in a song. Small gestures like this go a long way with students for energy and love. Your donation will help stock up our classroom and keep our students energized!
