My Students

My class is energetic and full of potential. Many of my students move around a lot and I would like to help them feel that our classroom is a safe environment. The area where my school is located is one of high growth. These students have had to change schools due to new construction, and have blended seamlessly with each other.

My students have positive attitudes and they love learning.

They work hard and are kind to one another. They come to school with an excitement to learn that is inspiring. With the growth we have experienced, we have new students being added to our class. I would like to help them worry less about the supplies they need, and more about learning.

COVID has affected us because it has increased the feelings of uncertainty in the world. My students come to school not knowing which other classmates will be out sick, or which teachers will be missing. I would like to have materials available for them so they know that school is a stable place.

My Project

My students have created a unique bond this year. They all get along very well, and I would like to solidify that bond using art materials. We use a lot of these high-quality art materials throughout the year, and by the spring, many of these consumable items (markers, washi tape, notebooks, etc) get used up.

My students are creative, fun, and enthusiastic.

I have included some board games because we often use them when we have bad weather. Playing board games during inside recess is a great way for my students to bond with each other.

I hope to end this year with some fun memories my students can take with them to the next grade level. They have worked hard this year, but the pandemic certainly has taken it's toll on them emotionally and mentally.
