Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school year comes to a close, I hope to provide my students the opportunity to celebrate their growth and creativity. This proposal seeks donations to support end-of-year poster projects, sensory activities like painting, and essential comfort items to promote mental well-being.

By providing students with the tools they need for creative expression and emotional support, I aim to foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages growth and achievement.

End-of-Year Poster Projects: My students will create visual posters showcasing the knowledge they've gained throughout the year. These projects encourage creativity, improve understanding, and offer a meaningful way for students to express their learning. Donations for art supplies like stencils, markers, paints, and brushes will help bring these projects to life. For students with sensory processing needs, painting offers an outlet for stress relief and cognitive stimulation. The tactile nature of painting helps improve focus and provides calming benefits, making it an important tool for students who may struggle with anxiety or concentration.

Healthy Snacks: Proper nutrition supports learning and overall well-being, especially for students managing learning disabilities. Healthy snacks will give my students the energy and focus they need to complete their projects and engage in the classroom. Donations of snacks like granola bars, fruit, jerky, and other healthy options are greatly appreciated.

Comfort Items & Fidget Toys: For many of my students, managing anxiety is a daily challenge. Comfort items such as stress-relief balls and fidget toys can help reduce anxiety and promote a calming environment. Donations of these items will support students in managing their emotional well-being and staying focused during the final weeks of school.
