This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
This has been an interesting and somewhat challenging school year for my students. Many of them were so excited to finally get to hang out and see each other in person and to make new friends, but at the same time they had to wear a mask, stay 3 feet apart from people at all times, and they had to do Covid testing weekly. I would like for our school year to end with a bang.
I want to give students new lessons that they can work on in the classroom so they remain excited to the very last day of school.
The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will let me do this. I also want to give each child a gift that they can play with and even work with over the summer. I've included materials for a grating lesson, funneling, and bubble making. I've also asked for materials for all of the kindergarteners to get summer journals and educational games to play with their family all summer. They work hard all school year they deserve some fun!
