My Project

We are starting a comic book afterschool club! Without a functioning library, the students at our elementary school and l have limited access to books of their choosing. Comic Club will provide students the opportunity to engage with books they are excited to read alongside their peers.

Comics, graphic novels, and manga offer accessible reading material for students.

These books have engaging plot lines which keep students interested and excited to read, while illustrations provide a helpful visual aid.

Your donation will not only help to provide students with books they want to read, but other important resources to further enhance their engagement with books. A sturdy, rolling cart will help to keep these books safe, so they can be enjoyed by many students for a long time. Materials including markers, pencils, notebooks, rulers, and folders will be used by students to make their own comics. Students will not only be reading together, but using hands-on instruction to create their own characters and story lines!
