Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We understand the challenges that teen girls face in today's world. From the pressures of school and social media to managing anxiety and exploring emotions, we recognize the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment where girls can express themselves freely. This group provides a safe environment for them to express themselves in more ways than speech alone can provide. Members will also find peer support through shared experiences.

Through the transformative power of art therapy, participants will embark on a creative exploration of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Our program is carefully curated to address the specific needs of teen girls ages 14-17. Led by a trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), each session is structured to blend self-expression with skill-building, empowering girls to develop healthy coping mechanisms and enhance emotional resilience. Group sessions will use a variety of art materials and specific directives to address issues such as impacts of social media, emotional regulation, friendships & boundaries, self-esteem & body image, self-care, and mindfulness.
