Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Dear Supporters,

I am reaching out to request your assistance in providing our students with essential menstrual hygiene kits.

Many of my students are experiencing their menstrual cycles earlier than expected and often feel unprepared and hesitant to seek help, leading to discomfort and potential absenteeism. By supplying these kits, we aim to create a supportive environment where students can manage their menstrual health confidently and without embarrassment.

**Impact on Learning**

Access to menstrual hygiene products is crucial for maintaining regular school attendance and academic performance. When students lack the necessary supplies, they may miss classes or struggle to concentrate, hindering their educational progress. Providing these kits will ensure that menstruation does not become a barrier to their learning and participation.

My primary objectives for this project are:

- **Ensure Preparedness:** Equip students with the necessary menstrual products to manage their cycles effectively while at school.

- **Promote Comfort and Confidence:** Reduce anxiety and embarrassment associated with menstruation by providing discreet and readily available supplies.

- **Educate and Empower:** Offer resources and information to help students understand and manage their menstrual health, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-care.

Our students are remarkable individuals who demonstrate resilience and determination daily. Many face challenges such as housing insecurity or come from low-income families, making access to personal hygiene products difficult. Despite these obstacles, they show up eager to learn and grow. By providing these menstrual hygiene kits, we can alleviate some of their concerns and help them focus on their education.

Your support in this initiative will make a significant difference in our students' lives, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed both academically and personally.
