Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love how curious, compassionate, and resilient my students are. Each day, they come to school eager to learn, grow, and connect with each other. They are young leaders who thrive when given the opportunity to express themselves, manage their emotions, and build social skills in a supportive environment.

The resources in this project will enhance our social-emotional learning (SEL) activities, calming corner, and creative play centers.

Tools like the Emotion Plush Toys and SEL books will help my students better understand and express their feelings, promoting emotional intelligence and empathy. The Play-Doh and Calm Down Threading Boards will serve as soothing sensory experiences, aiding students who need moments to regulate their emotions.

Incorporating resources like Magnetic Tiles and Marble Run will foster problem-solving and collaboration while making learning fun. Games such as Guess Who?, Tic Tac Toe, and Board Games will encourage teamwork, strategic thinking, and communication. The snacks will ensure my students are nourished and ready to focus on their learning tasks throughout the day.

These tools will create a dynamic learning space where every child can explore, create, and build social and academic skills.
