Empowering Young Minds through the Healing Art of Crochet
Help me give my students crochet kits. This will be a social-emotional learning initiative that combines the therapeutic benefits of crochet with the joy of learning a new skill.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a Social Worker, I am excited to find new ways to help students calm the mind. I am excited to try a unique social-emotional learning initiative that combines the therapeutic benefits of crochet with the joy of learning a new skill. My goal is to provide crochet kits for a group of students, allowing them to experience the calming and focusing effects of this creative outlet while building confidence, patience, and self-expression.
