Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to do read-alouds in my kindergarten class because they are a powerful way to support my students' language development, spark their imaginations, and foster a love for reading. By listening to stories, children learn new words, improve their vocabulary, and hear how sentences are structured, which helps them as they begin to read and write. Read-aloud also allow students to explore different ideas and emotions, build empathy, and develop creativity. Additionally, they help children practice listening and following along, which strengthens their focus and attention.

Most importantly, read-aloud make reading fun, creating a positive experience that encourages a lifelong love of books.

My students enjoy read-alouds and with your help I can give them the best read-aloud books.
