My Project

Emotions shape every aspect of our lives, yet for many students with disabilities, understanding and managing feelings can be overwhelming. Without the right tools, frustration, anxiety, and isolation can take hold, making it difficult for these students to express themselves, build relationships, and succeed academically. That’s why we’re launching a project to bring powerful, engaging books on social-emotional learning (SEL) into their hands—books that don’t just teach emotions but help students experience and navigate them in meaningful ways.

Imagine a child who struggles to communicate suddenly finding a story that reflects their own challenges, showing them that their emotions are valid and manageable.

Through relatable characters, interactive storytelling, and age-appropriate strategies, these books will guide students in identifying their emotions, understanding triggers, and developing healthy coping mechanisms. More than just reading material, these books will become bridges—connecting students to a world where they feel seen, understood, and capable of self-regulation.
