Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are imaginative, resilient, and always ready to dive into a good mystery. They bring curiosity and creativity to everything they do, and Amari and the Night Brothers is the perfect book to match their energy.

This fast-paced fantasy introduces readers to Amari, a determined girl who discovers a magical world and learns that her differences are actually her strengths.

Her journey mirrors the one many of our students are on—learning to believe in themselves even when the world doubts them.

With this project, we’ll be able to give every student a copy of the book, along with tools for annotation, journaling, and group discussions. These resources will support literacy, comprehension, and critical thinking, while also sparking conversations about identity, confidence, and perseverance.

We love our students because they embrace who they are and lift each other up. Your support helps us build a classroom where students see themselves in heroes like Amari and feel empowered to write their own powerful stories.
