Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is for the STEM Dept of a K-8 center in South Florida. ('STEM' stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.) We’re on a mission to nurture the next generation of digital storytellers and innovators. A 6-foot by 6-foot green screen will serve as the canvas for their imagination, allowing them to explore video production. Paired with two basic microphone kits compatible with cell phones, our students will have the tools to produce clear and professional audio to match their visual narratives.

These materials are not just tools; they’re the keys to a world of opportunities.

Our STEM department is dedicated to integrating technology and media into our curriculum, and with these resources, our students will create videos for school competitions, engaging social media content, and vibrant school announcements. By supporting our project, you’re not just providing equipment—you’re fostering a learning environment where students can develop their communication skills, technical know-how, and confidence to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Most of the children at our school come from families with below-average incomes. Many students are first-generation Americans, and their parents recent arrivals from the Caribbean, and Central and South America. We do not have an affluent PTA that can help us out with projects like this. Please consider giving our kids a helping hand!
