This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a vibrant, enthusiastic group of young artists from 2nd to 5th grade who thrive on creativity and self-expression. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and ideas to the classroom. What makes them special is their endless curiosity and willingness to try new things, even when it feels challenging. They inspire me every day with their eagerness to create and learn.
Sketchbooks will provide my students with their own personal space to draw, experiment, and develop their artistic skills throughout the school year.
These sketchbooks will encourage them to practice techniques, document their progress, and freely express themselves. Whether working on classroom assignments or sketching during their own time, having sketchbooks will enhance their ability to think critically, build confidence, and grow as artists.
My goal is to ensure that each student has their own sketchbook to use throughout the year. By providing them with this essential resource, I aim to foster creativity, improve drawing skills, and help them build a strong foundation of confidence in their artistic abilities.
