My Project

My students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. They come from diverse backgrounds, with many working hard to master English as a second language. Each day, they face challenges with determination and a positive attitude, making our classroom a vibrant, inclusive space for learning.

To help them thrive, I am requesting durable headphones with built-in microphones.

These are essential tools for accessing interactive reading platforms that require both listening and speaking. With this technology, students will practice fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension in a more personalized and focused way, significantly improving their reading skills. Additionally, the diverse books I’m requesting will provide rich stories that reflect various cultures, experiences, and identities, allowing students to see themselves and others in the stories they read, fostering empathy and belonging.

The goal of this project is to give my students the tools they need to develop strong literacy skills while creating a classroom environment where every voice is valued and celebrated. This combination of technology and culturally responsive literature will empower them to grow academically and socially, preparing them for lifelong success.
