My Project

The process of self-discovery during adolescence is vital for cultivating self-awareness and shaping one's future. It is during these formative years that teens begin to explore their identities, laying the groundwork for emotional and psychological well-being. Understanding who they are and accepting themselves is a critical part of this journey.

For immigrant and refugee students, this journey of self-discovery can be particularly challenging yet profoundly important.

My aim is to create an environment where my students can gain a deeper understanding of their identities. By fostering a journalistic atmosphere that is both inviting and enjoyable, I hope to offer them an opportunity to explore and express themselves in a meaningful way through research and creativity.

A key tool in this process will be providing students with access to a printer, allowing them to create a magazine that reflects their personal stories. This hands-on experience in a makeshift journalistic environment will not only be fun and engaging but also serve as a powerful catalyst for personal growth and self-discovery.
