Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our co-teach classroom, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every student has the tools they need to succeed. To ensure our students with special needs can fully engage with the grade-level curriculum, we are seeking essential equipment that will significantly enhance their learning experience. One critical component is noise-cancelling headphones, which will help our students concentrate on content by minimizing distractions and aiding in emotional regulation. These headphones are not just about blocking out noise; they also come equipped with built-in microphones that enable students to use speech-to-text technology. This feature is invaluable for students who struggle with writing and allows them to express their thoughts and ideas more effectively.

Additionally, we aim to address the challenges some students face when using a Chromebook with a trackpad.

For these students, a wired mouse can make a substantial difference, providing greater ease and precision in navigating their digital assignments. By integrating these tools into our classroom, we can better support our students' diverse learning needs and ensure that each one has the opportunity to participate fully in their education.
