This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love the determination and resilience our English Language Learners bring to the classroom every day. They are eager to learn, adapt, and overcome the challenges of mastering a new language while navigating their academic journey. Each student brings a unique cultural background, adding rich diversity to our school community, and they inspire me with their willingness to embrace new opportunities for growth.

The English-Spanish dictionaries I’m requesting will be invaluable tools for these students.

By providing them with a resource that bridges their native language and English, these dictionaries will empower our students to better understand classroom material, expand their vocabulary, and build confidence in their language skills. This will not only enhance their English acquisition but also support them in other academic subjects where language proficiency is crucial.

My goal for this project is to ensure that our English Language Learners have access to a high-quality English-Spanish dictionary. I believe that by giving them the tools they need to succeed, we can help them reach their full potential, both academically and in life. These dictionaries will serve as stepping stones for my students, allowing them to break down language barriers and achieve their educational goals.

What makes our students special is their incredible perseverance and their unwavering desire to succeed, despite the obstacles they face. They bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom, and it’s my mission to provide them with the resources they need to thrive.
