Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our adult transition program focuses on preparing students with disabilities for independent living and future employment. As part of this effort, we are launching a small t-shirt business to provide hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, design, and production. To create an effective workspace, we need two standing desks and a laptop, allowing our students to work comfortably while developing real-world business and technology skills.

Standing desks will offer an ergonomic space for students to design, press, and package t-shirts, while the laptop will be used for creating digital designs, managing inventory, processing orders, and learning basic business operations.

This project will teach essential skills such as teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and financial literacy—critical areas for success in the workplace and beyond.

By supporting this project, you are helping our students gain independence, confidence, and valuable job training in a supportive, hands-on learning environment. Your generosity will empower them with the tools and experience needed to transition into the workforce and achieve their personal and professional goals.
