My Project

My class and I had a conversation around some of our community issues with cleaning up the classroom, and we decided that we wanted to create a little more time and structure into the end of the day specifically spent on cleaning the room together.

Many adults wish we had learned more practical life skills in our education alongside our academic curriculum, and my hope is that these tools will support learning related to taking care of ourselves and our community space.

We will use 10 minutes at the end of the day for table group members to preform their job, such as dish washer; table cleaner; vacuuming; or laundry manager. I know when we have clear modeling of each task and dedicated time to work together cleaning our community, it will sparkle as much on the outside as we all feel it does on the inside.
