Empowering Students Through Interactive Activities in a Brand-New School
Help me give my students who are Language Learners resources that reinforce the important skills of reading fluently, speaking in complete sentences, asking questions, using prepositions, developing their vocabularies in ways that add fun to learning.
These materials will help my English language learners have new and interesting ways to practice English. I will use them regularly in my small groups of beginner English students as well as during our small group reading and writing time to support the skills we are focusing on.
Within each grade level I often have groups who have varying proficiency levels and therefore different needs so easy to use resources like this are so important!
My students are unique because they come from a very diverse background of more than 10 languages spoken from all over the world.
My project aims to enhance the language acquisition journey of multilingual students by providing them with decodable books, interactive games designed to develop essential skills such as vocabulary expansion, forming complete sentences, asking questions, and mastering prepositions. Language acquisition is not just about memorizing words; it's about developing the confidence and fluency to communicate effectively in real-world situations.
By integrating engaging and interactive games into our curriculum, I can create a dynamic learning environment where students are motivated to participate and practice their language skills actively.
These books, games, journals, and other resources will make learning enjoyable and facilitate natural language acquisition by providing ample opportunities for students to engage in meaningful conversations and interactions.
Through this project, I seek to address the unique needs of multilingual students and provide them with the tools they need to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.
