My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, creativity, and leadership potential. Despite the challenges they face, particularly as students in a high-equity school where many families experience low income, they show up each day eager to learn and make a difference. As members of the Student Government Association (SGA), they are passionate about creating positive change within our school and community, and they take pride in representing their peers.

The resources I’m requesting—such as poster boards and a document camera—will directly support their efforts in organizing, presenting, and documenting SGA initiatives.

The poster boards will allow them to visually communicate ideas, promote events, and advocate for important causes. Whether it's leading school spirit events, organizing service projects, or running student campaigns, these materials will help them express their vision creatively and effectively.

The document camera will play a crucial role in capturing and showcasing the work our students are doing. It will allow us to document presentations, meetings, and projects, and share their progress with the broader school community. By reflecting on their work through recorded presentations and photos, students will develop critical thinking skills and learn how to refine and improve their efforts.

My goal for this project is to provide my students with the tools they need to lead and inspire others. These resources will help them enhance their communication and leadership skills, build confidence, and create a lasting impact in their school. What makes my students special is their determination to succeed despite the obstacles they face. With your help, we can give them the resources they need to turn their ideas into action and continue growing as leaders.
