Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an incredible group of children with special needs who thrive on movement and hands-on learning. They face unique challenges daily, but through physical education, they can develop confidence, coordination, and social skills. Our classroom fosters an environment where every child is celebrated for their abilities, and I strive to provide them with the tools they need to succeed. However, my class's current PE equipment is only 2 balls and a jump rope and this does not fully support my class's diverse needs. I am requesting adaptive PE equipment to enhance our students' physical education experience. This includes balls, balance beams, soccer nets, and agility ladders—items that can support motor skills, coordination, and physical fitness. These tools will allow my class to engage in activities that improve muscle strength, balance, and hand-eye coordination while also building teamwork and perseverance.
