Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The specific items I’m requesting will significantly enhance my students' learning experiences. Manipulative math kits will allow them to engage with mathematical concepts through tactile exploration, making abstract ideas more concrete. STEM project kits will foster collaboration and critical thinking, enabling students to work together on hands-on projects that spark their curiosity. Art supplies will provide a creative outlet for self-expression, helping students develop emotional regulation and fine motor skills. Bilingual books and resources will ensure inclusivity and enhance literacy, allowing students to see themselves in their learning materials. Lastly, science experiment supplies will promote inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to ask questions and explore the world around them.

My goals for this project are to increase student engagement, improve academic outcomes, and develop essential social skills through collaborative learning.

I want to create an environment where every student feels valued and inspired to explore their interests.

What makes my students special is their resilience and unique perspectives. Many of them face challenges due to autism and behavioral disabilities, but they consistently demonstrate creativity, empathy, and a willingness to learn. With the right resources, I believe they can thrive and achieve great things.
