Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of students in a special education classroom where each learner has unique needs, strengths, and aspirations. My students face daily challenges that require individualized support, and they thrive in an environment that fosters creativity, engagement, and independence. Many of my students come from low-income backgrounds, making access to essential learning tools, such as technology, a challenge. Despite these obstacles, they are eager to learn, grow, and develop the skills they need for future success.

My Project: Technology plays a vital role in providing personalized learning experiences for my students.

A classroom computer will serve as an essential tool to enhance their education by supporting diverse learning styles, and reinforcing academic skills. With this computer, my students will have access to assistive technology applications, and engaging digital learning platforms tailored to their individual needs.

Having a dedicated computer in our classroom will allow my students to engage in interactive activities that make learning more accessible and enjoyable.

The Impact: This project will have a profound impact on my students' ability to engage with learning in meaningful ways. Many of my students require alternative methods of instruction, and technology helps bridge the gap by offering individualized support and accessibility features such as visual learning tools, and interactive activities. By integrating a computer into our classroom, I can better meet their unique learning needs and help them reach their full potential.
