My Project

In my Pre-K classroom in Brownsville, Brooklyn, a low-income area, these essential items—a sturdy art easel, a circle time easel, easel paper for painting, and sentence strips—will significantly enhance my students' learning experiences. The art easel will provide a dedicated space for young learners to explore their creativity through painting and drawing, allowing them to express themselves and develop fine motor skills. The circle time easel will serve as a central tool for interactive lessons, where we can display visual aids, introduce new concepts, and engage in group activities that foster early literacy and communication skills. Easel paper will ensure that every student has ample opportunity to participate in hands-on art projects, boosting their confidence and sense of accomplishment. Sentence strips will be invaluable for developing language skills, helping my happy, eager-to-learn students recognize letters, form words, and begin reading in an engaging, tactile way. In a community where resources are often limited, these tools will make a meaningful difference, providing my students with opportunities to thrive academically and creatively in a supportive and nurturing environment.
