This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In NYC, classrooms are consistently facing shortages of essential supplies, exacerbating by impending budget cuts and a surge in student enrollment. This scarcity significantly impacts our ability to effectively facilitate learning. Basic school necessities such as markers, lamination, pencils, and paper are in high demand as students engage in diverse projects and reports.

Additionally, a considerable number of students arrive at school without notebooks, further straining our resources.

As educators, we also face challenges in producing necessary reports due to a shortage of printing paper. Moreover, creating anchor charts on various subjects to aid students' understanding requires materials that are often lacking. The demand for supplies remains high, while the availability remains limited, presenting a significant obstacle to our educational objectives.

We truly hope donors will be willing to assist our 12:1:1 special classroom by helping us attain the needed supplies we are requesting to keep the classroom running efficiently.
