My Project

This project has two goals. Sensory corner and supply materials for adapting books and lessons to help my students.

A sensory corner and furniture are pivotal in enhancing special education learning for young minds.

These carefully hand-picked items will create a calming space that engages multiple senses, providing a dynamic and interactive learning experience. By creating a sensory-rich environment, students in kindergarten through 2nd grade can better focus, regulate emotions, and develop crucial cognitive skills. This project aims to bring these transformative resources into our classroom, fostering a supportive sensory space where every child can thrive in their unique learning journey.

Tailored learning materials are so important for young students in my classroom. The adapted materials and supplies such as laminating sheets and velcro, colorful paper, and adapted supplies help ensure that education meets students exactly where they are. Adapted materials empower students by catering to their individual needs, fostering engagement, and promoting a sense of accomplishment. This project seeks to provide a diverse range of materials for young learners, creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can unlock their full potential and be successful.

My students are incredibly unique in their individual strengths, perspectives, and ways of processing information. What amazes me the most about my students is their distinctive cognitive learning styles. Understanding each student's learning style and implementing accommodations to achieve success is the best part of my job!
