Hello DonorsChoose Community!

We are seeking your support to transform the literacy experience for a diverse group of middle school students who face challenges with reading and writing.

Our classroom is a vibrant melting pot of cultures and learning needs, and we believe that every student deserves the tools and resources to thrive academically. With your help, we can provide essential classroom supplies that will make a significant difference in their literacy development.

Our school serves a diverse student body, many of whom come from underrepresented and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our middle school students are eager to learn, but they often struggle with reading and writing due to various barriers. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where each student can build confidence and achieve literacy milestones.

To address the diverse literacy needs of our students, we are requesting the following supplies:

Interactive Reading Tools – Engaging resources such as magnetic letters, dry erase markers, erasers, and boards that will make learning fun and effective.

Writing Supplies – High-quality paper, markers, folders and other writing tools to encourage regular practice and creative expression.

Literacy Support Materials – Tools such as graphic organizers and word walls to assist students in organizing their thoughts and improving their writing skills.

How These Supplies Will Make a Difference:

Enhanced Engagement: By incorporating interactive tools, we aim to capture students' interests and motivate them to engage with reading and writing.

Personalized Learning: With a variety of resources and support materials, we can tailor literacy instruction to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of challenge and support.

Increased Confidence: Providing students with the tools they need to practice and improve their literacy skills will help build their confidence and foster a love for learning.
