This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an energetic and eager group of kindergarten students in a dual language classroom. My students are at a critical stage in their learning journey, where developing strong writing skills is essential. To support their growth, I am seeking funding for dual-sided whiteboards that have lines on one side for writing practice and a blank white surface on the other for versatile learning activities. My students are bright, curious, and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds and are learning both English and Spanish in our dual language classroom. Writing is a foundational skill that will set them up for success in both languages, and I want to provide them with the best tools to develop this skill.

These dual-sided whiteboards will allow my students to practice handwriting, letter formation, and sentence structure on the lined side.

The blank side offers a space for drawing, problem-solving, and interactive lessons, making these boards a flexible and essential tool in our classroom. Each student will have their own whiteboard, fostering independence, creativity, and engagement in learning.

In a classroom where language development is key, having the right tools makes all the difference. These whiteboards will help my students gain confidence in their writing, encourage active participation, and support their growth in both languages. Your donation will make a lasting impact on their educational journey, providing them with the resources they need to succeed.
