Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of students with autism and moderate to severe behaviors. Each of my students is unique, with their own strengths and challenges, and they inspire me daily with their resilience and capacity to learn. They thrive in environments that are engaging, structured, and tailored to their sensory and social needs.

My goal for this project is to help my students develop essential social skills like sharing, taking turns, and working together, all while having fun and staying active.

My students are truly special because they show that every small step of progress is worth celebrating. With your support, I can create a learning environment that encourages growth, connection, and success for these remarkable children.

The materials I’m requesting—a wobble chair and obstacle course equipment—will make a significant difference in their learning. The wobble chair will provide a safe way for students to manage their energy, stay focused, and regulate their sensory needs during group activities. The obstacle course materials will help build their gross motor skills while fostering cooperation, turn-taking, and waiting skills. These tools will create opportunities for students to engage in active, hands-on learning, whether indoors or outdoors.
