Empowering Independent Readers with Assistive Technology
Help me give my students access to a C-Pen Text to Speech Reader Pen, a powerful assistive tool that will help them read independently, build confidence, and better access classroom materials despite their learning differences.
My students are bright, creative, and capable learners who face challenges in reading due to disabilities such as dyslexia, autism and other learning differences. They work hard every day to overcome barriers and grow in confidence. Many of them benefit from tools that support reading comprehension and fluency.
That’s why I’m requesting a C-Pen Text to Speech Reader Pen 2, an assistive technology device that scans and reads printed text aloud.
This tool will allow my students to access grade-level materials more independently during classwork, testing, and individual reading time. It will also support their participation in small groups and increase their confidence during independent tasks.
Having access to this tool will help bridge the gap between their intelligence and their reading ability. It will empower them to engage with the same materials as their peers without needing constant adult support.
