My Project

As a speech therapist at a special education school, I am dedicated to helping my students with complex communication needs thrive through play. To support their development, I aim to provide and modify toys to be switch-activated, empowering them to play independently. These specially designed toys will help my students engage in meaningful play experiences, fostering their cognitive, social, and motor skills.

Switch-activated toys are essential tools for children with communication challenges, enabling them to interact with their environment in a fun and accessible way.

By pressing a switch, they can activate toys that light up, make sounds, or move, giving them a sense of control and accomplishment. This independence not only boosts their confidence but also encourages exploration and learning.

With these modified toys, they will have the chance to play independently, develop crucial skills, and enjoy the simple joys of play that every child deserves.
