Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to create and distribute personalized gift bags for students with special needs. The gift bags will include wallets for handling money, cosmetic bags filled with personal hygiene essentials, and splash cologne to encourage good hygiene habits. Additionally, we will ensure that the bags are beautifully presented, fostering a sense of pride and ownership among the students. These will be used as behavior incentives for students. Students will earn points and in turn they can exchange for the goodie bags with hygiene products and wallets to keep their money.

Many special needs students face challenges in acquiring daily living skills, including financial literacy and personal hygiene.

By providing them with practical tools in a thoughtful manner, we can empower these students to enhance their independent living skills and boost their self-esteem. Students will earn these incentives through good behavior and showing independence skills.

Some of the objectives of the program are:

To provide students with functional wallets to aid in developing independent money management skills.

To equip students with cosmetic bags filled with hygiene essentials to promote self-care and personal hygiene.

To foster a sense of dignity and pride through the presentation of attractive and personalized gift bags that they can earn with their points earned for positive behavior.
