Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As we embark on our "Road to and Through College" journey, I aim to provide my scholars with the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. Many of our scholars face economic challenges that make it difficult to afford basic school supplies. To ensure every scholar has equal access to educational opportunities, I am seeking donations to supply our classroom with essential materials and resources.
**How the Resources Will Be Utilized:**
1. **Classroom Supplies:**
I am requesting pencils, highlighters, crayons, and glue sticks for daily use in our interactive notebooks. These supplies will be crucial for scholars to engage in hands-on activities, organize their thoughts, and creatively express their ideas. By providing these materials, I can ensure that all students can participate fully, regardless of their financial situation.
2. **Supplemental Academic Resources:**
To enhance our curriculum, I am also requesting a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, an online marketplace for teacher-created resources. With this, I can purchase high-quality, supplemental materials that align with our college readiness goals. These resources will include worksheets and activities designed to deepen understanding and foster critical thinking skills.
