My Project

Our middle school in Brooklyn, NY serves an incredible group of students, many of whom face economic hardships. As their gym teacher, I strive to provide them with the best possible physical education experience, but we lack quality basketballs and practice jerseys. Without the right equipment, my students struggle to fully engage in the game, develop teamwork skills, and build confidence through sports.

This project will provide durable basketballs and practice jerseys so every student can actively participate in our physical education program.

With your support, we can create an environment where all students, regardless of financial background, have the resources they need to succeed on and off the court.

My goals for this project are to ensure my students have properly inflated basketballs and team jerseys to enhance their experience in PE class and after-school activities. These items will promote teamwork and sportmanship; helping develop critical life skills, such as cooperation, discipline, and leadership through structured basketball practice. Finally, this project would help encourage physical activity, motivating students to stay active, build motor skills and develop a love for sports that extends beyond the classroom.
