Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our new special education program is designed to provide an inclusive and enriching learning experience for students with diverse needs. We are committed to ensuring that every child receives the individualized support necessary to thrive both academically and socially. To achieve this, we are seeking to equip our classrooms with a variety of tools and resources that cater to the sensory, organizational, and instructional needs of our students.
Some of the key items we are requesting include:
4-Station Sand and Water Play Table: This will allow our students to engage in hands-on learning experiences that are both calming and stimulating, helping them to develop fine motor skills and sensory processing abilities.
Indoor Room Dividers : These dividers will create designated spaces within our classroom, helping to reduce distractions and providing a safe, quiet area for students who need a break or a more focused environment.
Swivel Chair and Writing Tablets: This promotes active sitting, which can help students with sensory needs to self-regulate, while the writing tablets provide a fun and mess-free way for students to express their creativity.
Play-Doh, Kinetic Sand, and Sensory Bins: These sensory materials will be used to enhance our students' fine motor skills and provide calming, therapeutic activities during breaks or as part of their daily routine.
Rolling Storage Carts and Mailboxes: Organizational tools like these will help keep our classroom neat and accessible, ensuring that students and teachers can easily find and use the materials they need throughout the day.
Magnetic Building Tiles, Counting Toys, and Sequencing Cards: These educational toys will be instrumental in teaching foundational concepts in a way that is engaging and appropriate for students with varying abilities.
