My Project

As a dedicated teacher, I strive to use technology to create engaging lessons, manage classroom resources, and provide individualized instruction for my students. Unfortunately, the current laptops in our school, while valuable for student gaming and learning activities, are no longer capable of running the latest operating systems or software needed for effective teaching. Thanks to a previous DonorsChoose project, these older laptops have been creatively repurposed into gaming laptops for my students, enhancing their learning through educational games and activities. However, as these devices focus on student use, I now need an up-to-date laptop for planning, teaching, administrative tasks, and continuing our sublimation adventures.

Our classroom now requires a new MacBook Air laptop to replace the older devices no longer compatible with current operating systems.

A new MacBook Air would enable me to:

-Run current educational and design software to create interactive lesson plans.

-Manage digital resources, communication tools, and classroom data seamlessly.

-Support new teaching initiatives, including STEAM activities, sublimation projects, and community outreach efforts that connect students to real-world applications of learning.

This laptop would be the cornerstone of modernizing our classroom and ensuring that my teaching tools are as innovative and adaptable as my students’ learning opportunities.
