This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using science tools and games can play a crucial role in enhancing discovery skills among PreK (pre-kindergarten) students. These tools and games are designed to engage young learners in hands-on experiences, promoting curiosity and exploration. Here's a summary of how the different science tools and games I am requesting contribute to the development of discovery skills.

Magnetic Bingo Wands:

Purpose: Manipulating magnets involves the use of fine motor skills, helping pre-K students develop hand-eye coordination and control. The act of picking up, moving, and exploring magnetic objects supports their sensorimotor development. Magnets provide an early introduction to basic science concepts. Pre-K students can explore the ideas of attraction and repulsion, beginning their understanding of fundamental scientific principles in a hands-on and concrete way.

Benefits: Magnets provide a tangible and interactive way for students to learn about physics and magnetic fields. Hands-on activities with magnets can make abstract concepts more concrete and easier to understand. Also, experimenting with magnets encourages critical thinking skills.

Design and Build Engineering Centers and Playstix Deluxe Building Set:

Purpose: Construction sets allow children to build structures.

Benefits: Enhances spatial awareness, promotes problem-solving skills, and introduces basic engineering principles.
