This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love about my students is their incredible diversity and their unwavering passion to learn and grow in their new home. Each resource we request will have a profound impact on their learning journey.

The paint brushes, watercolor pencils, and other essential art supplies we are seeking will enable our students to express their cultural identities, emotions, and creativity through Studio Art classes.

These materials will provide them with the means to paint their dreams, sculpt their aspirations, and tell their stories through visual art.

Our goal for this project is to create an inclusive and enriching art education experience where students from various cultural backgrounds can come together to explore, learn, and celebrate their unique identities. By fostering creativity and self-expression, we aim to boost their confidence and help them overcome the challenges they face as young immigrants.

What makes our students truly special is their resilience and determination. They have embarked on a challenging journey to a new country in pursuit of their dreams and a better life. Despite facing various obstacles, they continue to show an unwavering commitment to their education and personal growth. We believe that by providing them with the resources they need, we can empower them to thrive and succeed on their path to success and self-discovery.
